Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Nexus Scholars’ writing assistance services (the “Services”), whether through NexusScholars.com, in-person consultations, or other means, you (“Client” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
Description of Services
Nexus Scholars provides writing assistance services, including but not limited to:
- Essay editing and review
- Personal statement review
- Resume and cover letter review
- Extracurricular activity descriptions review
- Awards and honors statements review
- Gap year essay/statement guidance
- Secondary essay strategy & prompt analysis
- Application narrative cohesion review
- Identifying and highlighting key themes
- Improving clarity and conciseness in writing
- Developing stronger storytelling techniques
- Mastering tone and voice in application writing
- Formatting and presentation review
- Scholarship essay review
- Statements of purpose/intent review
- Editing and proofreading
- Writing skills workshops/mini-courses
A more detailed description of the specific Services purchased by the Client will be provided on the website and in conversations with our manager.
Client Responsibility
- Accuracy of Information: The Client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information to Nexus Scholars. This includes, but is not limited to, application materials, personal details, and any specific instructions or deadlines.
- Original Work: The Client affirms that all materials submitted to Nexus Scholars are their own original work and do not infringe upon the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Timely Submission: The Client is responsible for submitting materials to Nexus Scholars in a timely manner, according to agreed-upon deadlines.
- Cooperation: The Client agrees to cooperate with Nexus Scholars in a timely manner, including responding to inquiries and providing feedback.
Disclaimer of Guarantee
Nexus Scholars provides guidance and assistance to improve the Client’s writing. However, Nexus Scholars does not guarantee admission to any educational institution, scholarship, award, or other program. The Client acknowledges that the final decision rests with the relevant institution or organization.
Payment and Fees
Payment terms are as follows: Payment will be completed upon booking our services or when checking out on our website.
The Client agrees to pay all fees associated with the Services as outlined in the service agreement or invoice.
Nexus Scholars reserves the right to modify its fees. Clients will be notified of any changes in advance.
Intellectual Property
The Client retains ownership of the original content they submit to Nexus Scholars.
Nexus Scholars retains ownership of any original materials, methodologies, or processes developed in the course of providing the Services.
Nexus Scholars may use anonymized client work for marketing or portfolio purposes, unless the Client specifically requests otherwise in writing.
Confidentiality
Nexus Scholars agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all Client information and materials. We will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nexus Scholars’s liability to the Client for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services shall be limited to the amount of fees paid by the Client for the specific Services in question. Nexus Scholars shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.
Termination
Nexus Scholars may terminate the Services if the Client breaches these Terms, fails to make timely payments, or engages in any unethical or illegal activity.
The Client may terminate the Services with written notice, subject to the refund policy outlined in Section 6.
Upon termination, the Client will be responsible for paying for all Services rendered up to the date of termination.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through email with our business manager. Any issue that cannot be resolved will be escalated to the local judiciary system.
Changes to Terms
Nexus Scholars reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes, and the most current version of the Terms will be posted on Nexus Scholars. Continued use of the Services after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Nexus Scholars regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
